I teach because I love it. I have been a teacher here at Our Lady Queen of Peace school since 2001. I am the eighth grade homeroom teacher as well as the middle school Social Studies teacher and sixth and eighth grade Religion teacher. I have a degree from the University of Wisconsin Parkside in Political Science and History and received my teaching license from Alverno College in Broadfield Social Studies, History, Political Science, and Geography. I too am a PROUD product of Milwaukee Catholic Education graduating from St. Catherine’s grade school and Pius XI High School.
My teaching philosophy is centered on the importance of faith, family involvement and communication. My classroom method aims at getting my students to insert themselves into the places, events, and stories which we are studying. Knowing also that today’s generation of students is “tech savvy” I try to incorporate technology into my lessons with the help of Google classroom, colleague suggestions and the Smartboard in my classroom.
